How effective is the Active Noise Cancellation on the new AirPods 4?

The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) of the New AirPods 4 certainly is praiseworthy, however, it cannot be compared to that of the Air Pods Pro 2. Since the air-tips design has a certain hardness, there can be some small gaps which permit some surface noise. The ANC can diminish the ambient sound remarkably well but does not offer total silence from outside which sounds more like a sound suppression. It can be especially useful in environments that are relatively noisy such as a train or airplane.

I'm upgrading from the OG AirPods to the 4s. Never been a fan of total noise cancellation just because I hate the feel of the silicon in my ear, so the openness of the non-pros with slight noise cancellation is totally fine with me. I'm VERY excited for this upgrade!

I'm the exact same way but with the airpod pros the silicone ear tips always forced their way out of my ears and the hard plastic was super snug so I'm really excited to have ones with noise canceling, I think there's an abundance of silicone ear buds and I'm glad they're finally giving people who they don't fit a better choice

AirPods 4 with the noise cancelling is the product that I have been waiting for years this is going to be my absolute favourite AirPods ever never liked the pro with the ear tips!!!!!!

I hated silicon earbuds in my ears due to the vacuum suction when taking them out or during long wears. However, Airpods are different and fixed that - because they have airholes and filter the noise with noise cancellation. Genius and so good. So now, I LOVE silicon earbuds (as long as they're Airpods).
