How does the iPhone 16 Pro Max's battery life compare to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra?

According to a full battery test conducted on several smartphones, it has been revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra performs better than the iPhone 16 Pro Max which has been marketed as possessing the highest battery life in any iPhone device. There was such a considerable gap between the battery lives of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max that it can be concluded that the mobile phone has the best battery life in all of the phones that were tested.

One thing I'd like to add as an S24 Ultra user. The adaptive battery actually does understand your usage metrics and improve your battery life over time. I get an easy 2 day battery life even though I use my phone with fairly heavy usage.

Just upgraded from a 14 Pro Max to the S24 Ultra and the battery life difference is absolutely incredible. I watch a lot of content on my phone and do some gaming as well and it has consistently lasted me from morning until night. That's mind-blowing, especially since I remember battery life being a negative on my previous Androids.

Absolutely ridiculous! The S24 Ultra from last year with MORE use than the "new" iPhone 16 pro models not only lasts longer than the iPhone 16 Pro but also pulverizes the 16 Pro max. What a debacle for Apple!

S24 Ultra owner here, I can back the battery performance of S24U shown here. Despite always-on dual SIM 5G mobile data , 120Hz. this beast gives me 6Hr SOT with 21 to 22 Hour total usage! Insane.... didnt even bother testing with low settings as it goes all day with my moderate to heavy usage!

This is the only content where iPhone lost the battery test. All other content iPhone won by at least 2hrs compared to Samsung S24 Ultra.

It's so amazing, seeing that an overclocked 4nm SOC beating out the 3nm SOCs in the iPhone 16s, not to mention that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra had a higher screen resolution and is now a couple months old...

The exact measurement of Samsung S24 Ultra battery is 4855mAh. Bcs u note it for iphone in 7:12 , just to know. So the percentage difference is 3.62% between 16PM & S24U.

The tech chap did the same but with more phones. On his drain test he used brand new phones. S24 ultra gave 9 hours 22 minutes. 16 pro max gave more or less same battery life around 11 hours 30 minutes something. So what is the reason behind it? Why there are like 3 hours difference on Samsung battery life?

Wow, as a die-hard iPhone user, that Samsung battery life is impressive

Edit: just went back to last year’s battery test and the iPhone 15 plus did over 13 hours. The 15 pro max also did 11 hours 41 mins. Would the updated app list you used really make that big of a difference this time round?

As a first time iphone user with the 15pro, my biggest gripe has been the battery and the Photos app and also the lack of a universal back button/gesture.
And this battery competition has me drooling for the Galaxy.
I’ll patiently wait for the Galaxy 25 ultra and then decide whether to upgrade to the 16PM or not.
