In what ways is the design of a Tesla Cybertruck different from a traditional vehicle?

The design of the Tesla Cybertruck is categorized as radical because it possesses angular shapes and flat surfaces which are not overly common on vehicles. Its angular and geometric design, which features a more pronounced and rugged structure, is very unlike most contemporary car designs and reminds one of the Aston Martin Bulldog or the Maserati Boomerang concept model. It is evident that its design goes further than usual car design boundaries and certainly does not fit within the obsolete generalized style of other Tesla automobile models.

it's so dumb to me that no one makes popup headlights anymore because they're "dangerous to pedestrians", meanwhile this 7000lb chunk of steel with sharp corners is totally fine

Who doesn't want a vehicle with windscreen wipers the size of an albatross? Finally, you have something you can park next to your Pontiac Aztek.

I've witnessed Mr May driving all manner of automotive garbage over the years, but this is surely the most expensive piece of garbage I've ever seen him drive.

This is the first time I've seen someone drive a cybertruck without a 0-80 launch.  James May is a master at resisting temptation.

Someone on another channel summed up the Cybertruck very well - "The sort of car a divorced dad would buy to impress his 17 year-old daughter's friend".  Probably because that's exactly the sort of person who designed it...

"a little bit childish and a bit incel" is how I see this vehicle. But thank you, James, for making this content so I could at least bring myself to click on it and learn a bit about it.

The best part of driving a Cybertruck? You're inside of it, so you don't have to look at it

James proving the point of what Cybertruck is made for - marketing. Nothing else

There's one in my neighborhood with the matte gold wrap, but it looks mustard and everyone laughs at it

Again everyone, I designed the Cybertruck when I was in kindergarten. The original design was a wax pen on paper rendering.

I'm very pleased that the wheel arches were produced so accurately to the original design.

My mother has the original, kept in a big box.

I think the genius of James May (and the former case of Top Gear) is perfectly highlighted in this content. Despite the Cybertruck being out for sometime, James brings a totally new perspective and conveys in simple ways (e.g. a ruler against the side). True expert and entertainer!

I literally saw Jeremy & Richard’s faces when James pulled out the ruler and started checking the angles

When he picked up the ruler I could almost hear Clarkson scream "JAMES, WHO CARES"

James May taking a ruler to a cybertruck is exactly what I expect from James May, and thus, I am not disappointed.
