The Series 16 Pro’s ultra wide camera has been upgraded and now features a large 48MP lens which allows for higher resolution pictures and improved low light performance. It also has a faster sensor on the main camera and new lenses such as photography styles. The introduction of a lens coating also helps lessen lens flare but to an insubstantial margin. The inclusion of a camera control button allows the user to quickly access camera functions and settings directly from the button.

I am actually very happy with this phone, initially after going through all pixel phones and moving to the iphone 15 pro max (first time iphone user), I really started to enjoy some things and wishing some things were different with the photo quality. After upgrading to the iphone 16 pro max, what I can tell is that in terms of photography I am very happy now with the camera and styles as much as I am with the content. The colors seem to get a lot better, less yellowish, more natural, more real. I am really having a good time with this phone, was not expecting to be this polished. iOS delivers a smooth experience that its hardly matched by any other android phone... I am curious to see how the samsung s25 ultra will be, but for the moment, its been a lot of fun to record content and taking photos with this phone.

I got a 16 Pro to replace a 12 Pro. Its feels like a pretty solid upgrade. I think I'm only really going to notice the difference with the screen with I have them side by side. I appreciate the better camera and dropping lightning is also a plus. Not sure about the camera button yet. It works quite well for what it is and its in a pretty good position for me to take pictures one handed in both landscape and portrait. But I'm not sure if its really better than using the touchscreen.

Unless I find myself badly wanting an even larger screen or more storage (and if the battery holds up), its hard to imagine wanting another one inside of 5 years

Great content as always Chap! I mean even with an iPhone 15 I already am upgrading to the iPhone 16 Pro because those cameras, mic quality and software upgrades are so worth it. It's a big difference.

I’ve been really loving the new camera button! I take a lot of pics & vids and it’s nice to be able to the zoom right on the button. Also great that it automatically starts rec vid when you hold and press the button

In defense of the button.  When it finally functions the way it's supposed to, I think it'll be good.  I don't know why it wasn't ready at release but I heard from a few sources that in a future software release it will function just like a DSLR.  Half click is focus and full click takes the picture.  THAT I will like.  I agree with you though, as of right now it's a gimmick that isn't overly helpful.

Turn 12mp ultra wide into "48mp" by literally dividing every pixel 4 times. Then use "binding" to get 12mp of 48mp to "capture more light". Much wow. Crazy new tech.

The iPhone camera is so good that it is really hard to make it better these days. The pictures coming from the iPhone are consistently sharper and more detailed compared to the competition due to having superior file size which allows them to make the default photos up to 24MP. This is something other companies still struggle with

I believe these camera comparisons between the 15 pro max and the 16 pro max it's only the YouTubers that are seeing that slight difference in my eyes I'm like wow those are definitely the same
Then on some shots I try to convince myself that there is a difference

I wish that the iPhone 16 Pro has a 85mm or 3.5X telephoto camera with larger sensor size.
And i also wish that the Camera Control wasn't there.
