The Sony Enzone M9 4K gaming monitor has numerous highlight features such as a 4K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, an IPS panel with an anti-glare matte coating, DisplayHDR 600 certification, 96 local dimming zones to enhance the contrast, G-Sync compatible, HDMI 2.1 ports, VRR support and a 1ms response time. It can be used with various gaming setups like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or a computer.

I don't get it why some people hate 4K resolution on 27" monitors? It looks crystal clear and you're able to see everything perfectly fine like in more competetive games.

Purchased this monitor when it was released and am using it with my PS5 and M1 MacBook Pro. So far I’m loving it except for some parts of the HDR. I say some parts because when watching movies and gaming in HDR, I notice the local dimming (when set to high) causing the image to exhibit haloing that looks different from what I’ve seen in other Sony LED backlight displays. This only happens in a pitch black room with no bias lighting but it’s actually kinda distracting. To the point where I feel like turning local dimming to low is a better option with HDR content. I find it’s most noticeable with contrasty HDR movie scenes but when you know what to look for it’s noticeable with pretty much all HDR content. You get haloing in the form of squiggly white lines that move around frame depending where highlighted objects/subjects are in the frame. Not sure if it’s just my panel but given that the monitor has none of the screen defects people have been posting online about, I want to say I have a solid panel. Just wondering if anyone can add to this discussion. I love this monitor and if this is a normal backlight consequence on a 27 inch screen, I’m willing to put up with it. But if it’s a defect, then I feel like I should swap it out while the return window is still good. Thanks all

For anyone who has the monitor. What’s the colours like. I play both story games and online games. So is it suitable for both. I like my offline games to look good. Thanks.

Not sure why Sony wouldn't offer both a 27 inch and 32 inch option with the otherwise same design and specs.  27 is slightly too small for my eyes.

Nice that it's flat but 27 inch...yeah make it 32 please thanks. And only 96 dimming zones..? WTF? lol the neo g7 got 1196.

After using a 32" LG (non-gaming monitor), it's tough to go back to anything less than that. I'm patiently waiting for Asus to bring out their ROG Swift OLED PG42UQ.

I may have missed it, but all the reviews seem to make no mention of USB-C power delivery? I take it there is none?
by (100 points)
Is the monitor wall mountable?
by (100 points)
Does that Type-C has power-delivery? Can you have a quick check please?
by (100 points)
Should have been more zones, 96 is not enough, and size at least 32 inch, 27 is too small.

is this the only 4K 144hz LCD with backlight dimming zones?

what other gaming monitor has type C connection for laptops?

I think it's a great product for the mass market, targeting the more affluent part of the mass segment, but its specs are just not good enough for enthusiast level gamers. For me at least, 27" and 96 zones together break the deal. If it was 32" then I'll take 96 zones at that price. Or if it was 27" but had 500+ zones then it's going to look stunning and I would probably never game on my 3440x1440 edge-lit display again. But 27" plus 96 zones? That puts it way outside my strike zone.

But definitely that stand is really bad. It also has the monitor mass sitting on one central leg, which is probably the cause of the wobbliness. It looks like it could easily topple over as well, if you just bump into it accidentally. Definitely should be VESA mounted.

Hi, I recently purchased this and I can’t get the screen or ps5 for that matter to go above 60hz, I’ve tried a number of games and I’ve turned on the setting to track what hz is showing and every time its 60 and doesn’t go any higher, Any advice or tips would be appreciated thank you

the panel is great, the stand is awkward and inconvenient . Dell stands have much better adjustment range

The fact that it's a grand in the UK even though it's $900 in the US is hilarious... No chance I'm buying this anytime soon.

£1000 for a 27 inch monitor, yeah nah.
