Certainly, the fans of your computer can be controlled using programs. A fan control program is free and open source that is called ‘Fan Control’ which enables a user to control all fans within the system through a basic uncomplicated application. It is valid as long as your fans are directly plugged into the motherboard and allows extension of some third party based controllers and devices.

This made my fans spin louder and faster, what just happened. I made sure I wasnt crazy because I knew my cpu fan was loud, but installing this made gpu fan louder than the cpu fan. My gpu did not do that before

I installed FanControl today and the Corsair Plugin and none of my RGB works. Also when i adjust the slider for any of my fans nothing changes on any of the ones that are paired. If i cant get it working im gonna end up removing the program.

i have a lian li 215 case, and neither the front 2 or rear fan were able to sync with this app. Just my 240ml AIO and GPU fans... any recommendations?

Does this work for any and all kinds of fans?

I.e. the pre installed fans of a case, aftermarket cpu cooler and an extra aftermarket fan for casing?

So I have my exhaust fan, and 2 aio fans on top set up through my nzxt hub so I assume that is why I cannot control them in this app, which is okay as I use nzxt software. I was using msi center originally for the 2 front fans and bottom fan and running between an idle/browsing the internet mode and a pure gaming mode which was nice to be able to change the speeds on the fly through xbox game bar.. However with the most recent update that user scenario option is gone and i cant find anyways to fix it.. So I've downloaded this software and I can set the fan speeds for my 2 front fans as well as bottom and gpu and that is it.. However only gpu fans will give me an rpm reading and and if i go to detect alll fans it will say  this control doesnt respond for all the fans but the gpu fans? Why on earth is this? Epseciallyt if its still letting me manually do it in the software.

i can see the control section but nothing in speed section why ??

Great explanation, but you didn't include the users who used fan splitter. This is more complicated and you can easily do in the bios settings
