The Meta Quest 3s costs $200 less than the original Quest 3. Cost optimization has been made by replacing pancake lenses with Fels and thus the Quest 3s has become a more affordable option for fans.

You don’t need the higher storage if you’re on a budget 128 GB is enough for $300 if you’re even doing 256 just go for 512 GB for the $650. Yes that’s $250 more than 256 gigs for double the storage and the better headset.

That price tag is for the 3 is now more realistic and exciting, maybe I’ll pick one up. Excited to see more VR sold. Hopefully that will follow with more and more support and AAA games and immersive experiences

they still do the whole $100 for 128GB extra storage lol wonder how many more years this scam will run... 1tb ssd these days costs about $50 at consumer prices 0 scale...

This honestly seems like a great deal. When Zuck set out a long time ago I believe his ethos was genuinely to connect people.  I'm sure with this pricing he got some pushback from investors saying that this undercut the other product. It's endearing to see that the concept for which he origanlyl set out is still intact and I think the stock will be just fine.   Apple flopped they got too out of touch with the base. I have been holding off for a long time to get VR cuz I'm of humble means but Im def buying this for myself for my bday.    The mistakes in  the demo were also endearing and actually give me more confidence in the company than Ive had in a long time... kinda cute and human.

its basically identical to the >2x cost of the quest 3 but with worse lenses and worse resolution. thats it as far as I can tell. it actually also has a better battery life than the quest 3
