How can I skip the lines at popular attractions in Rome?

I wish to see the Coliseum and Vatican Museum but I absolutely loathe queueing. Any suggestions on how to avoid standing in long lines?

To avoid the long queues at high-traffic sites such as the Coliseum or the Vatican Museums it is better to buy the tickets beforehand. As a result, you won't have to stand in the lines for a long time, which is very convenient. Keep in mind that it is easier to get tickets to the Vatican Museum than to the Coliseum, so be prepared for that.

We went to Vatican city to visit the St Peter, forget it. A 3 hour line and in the burning sun. No shade. So we said bye Pope, we will do another time
