The Distraction Control feature in iOS 18 Safari permits the user to eliminate some of the ‘static’ content on a webpage to lower the chances of them being distracted. No, it's not an advertisement preventing tool nor does it mean advertisements will be turned off permanently. The designed settings will not be synchronized with other devices as they are specifically for one device only. To make the hidden elements visible again, the user should select the option found in the Safari search field that says Show Hidden Items.
