How much does a monitor compatible with a Mac cost, say one that does not exceed the $500 mark?

There are also several options for those whose budget is no more than $500. If you are a gamer, try to find a 27 – 32 inch 4K resolution monitor with at least a 144Hz refresh rate and a USB-C port with decent charging output. Brand reputation matters as well. One such would be, an MSI monitor that I found and meets these criteria and retails for about $369. It offers decent Mac user-friendliness and configuration for the price.

I have Gigabyte M28U KVM and I can say, it works very well with MacOS. Using one proper thunderbolt cable, I get 4K 144 Hz, 15W power delivery, 3x USB 3.0 ports and audio output. For the picture, by default it scales to a usable resolution 1920x1080, which works for me and the state of my eyes, I don't see any kind of blurry text even when zooming or the so-called screen tearing while scrolling. Perfect for daily use. Can't say for color accuracy, since I don't do photo editing, but for a regular user like me, it's such a good "budget" (considering its 4K 144 Hz) monitor for Mac.

For MacBooks with few terminals, it is very important that the connection method be USB-C or Thunderbolt.

Just sat down yesterday and ordered a 32” UHD LG for my M2 Mini based on your prior recommendation. This is ironic timing for new content to drop.

I'd say that in terms of price and small budget, it's: 27" MSI Modern MD272QXPW

I own LG 5k since 2021, quite nice.

What about color fidelity, something for photo work that maches the native display/calibration of a MBP Pro 14" / 16"

What about Dell U2723QE ? Anything else in that budget of 500 Euro for work/home related usage monitor (hub and kvm integrated)?
