The Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a boundary that is 155 miles long that divides North Korea and South Korea. Due to its peculiar circumstances, it has come to focus as a retreating point for animals and is home to quite a few endangered flora and fauna species. Around 2,900 plant species, 70 mammal species, and 320 species of birds have been recorded by the ecologists in this region.
