Do pregnant women and older adults have to heat cold cuts before consuming them? Is there any health cause that warrants that?

Indeed, expectant mothers and those members of the population who have some immunocompromised states including the aging population, are recommended to consume cold cuts which are heated to 165°F or higher to eliminate any potential listeria bacteria. Listeria can be found in processed meats and this bacterium poses the greatest risk to individuals who have a reduced state of health.

Cold cuts, if the manufacturers stopped sodding about with our food this probably wouldn’t be a problem. They need to go back to traditional ways of producing these foods. Salami, Black Forest ham, chorizo should be dry not the moist muck that you get today.
