When one decides to go on a flight, little do they know that the airplane food served on board can taste really different to them because of the cabin pressure and height at which the airplane is flying. As a rough estimate, high altitudes and the dryness of the atmosphere can dull one’s sensitivity toward sweet and salty substances by 30 percent, and even more — due to the economic air circulation planes offer.
