I remember the first version of HomePod, it had great sound speakers, one of the best in the industry thanks to its high-resolution audio capabilities, why then did it fail to gain ground in the market?

The original HomePod flopped in the market for one fundamental reason; It was expensive compared to other devices such as Amazon’s Echo and Google’s Home. Apple went all out with audio performance, however, the market showed more interest in price and smart functionality. Hence the reason HomePod Mini is still in the competition since it is rather more inexpensive.
