Can you mix tire sizes on a road bike for better aerodynamics?

A few people have told me that some types of bikes come with two wheels which are different in size one in front and another on the back. Is this a technique for aerodynamic reasons, and should I take in account this feature?

Some road bike users opt to use a narrower tire on the front wheel and a wider one on the rear for aerodynamics. This setting, which is often referred to as a “mullet” tire setup, is supposed to help in drag reduction through dynamic air flow management. On the other hand, the advantages may depend on the builder’s style and the user's goals. It is recommended to try this setup out before deciding whether to stick with it or find a more suitable arrangement for you since comfort and handling might be dependent on the tires used as well.
