I have begun to examine technical characteristics of road bikes. Would you be kind enough to provide me with an explanation of how stiffness of the front end affects the performance of a bike?

The front end stiffness on a road bike is equally crucial when it comes to steering precision and stability during cornering and speed descents. A stiffer front end allows for a more agile bike and better power transfer when out of the saddle. But it can also result in a less comfortable experience if there are no other compliant features to counter that. It’s one of those features which should be adapted to your riding scope and the expected road quality.

can't  believe tarmac comes even close in stiffness, especially the bottom bracket area where not much material can be found on the tarmac sl8.
