The BepiColombo mission’s objective will be to conduct high-resolution mapping of Mercury’s surface, make composition analysis and carry out studies on the magnetic field and magnetosphere. It will also investigate the exosphere of the planet and look for signs of volcanic and tectonic activity, giving new perspectives on the birth and development of Mercury.
