In alphabetical order, birds fly in V-formation to reduce wind resistance and conserve energy. This kind of flying enhances their endurance and extends their range. In this instance, the sights, sounds, and motions of the active birds can be compared to several overtures presented in a symphony. It can be seen clearly why birds fly in a V-formation from the given depiction.

To save energy, birds tend to fly in a V-formation where each bird flies at an angle to catch the uplifting currents created by the bird in front of it. The first bird in front of the V formation gusts air to the other members in the back and due to this aerodynamic effect, the birds can save energy from twenty to thirty percent for the whole formation.

The reason for the V-formation of birds and how it works is not a recent discovery. It's been taught in elementary schools for at least 30 years.

They knew about geese flying in a v well before 2014 considering I did studies on it in school and that was over in 2004 lol this should be common knowledge ten years ago!

The V formation has been common knowledge since i was a child. That isnt a discovery from 2014.

Ok... on the bird formations... you talk about a study proving this... but I was taught exactly what you said when I was in elementary school in the early 90's. So we have known this much longer than the last few years.
