The term used to describe this phenomenon is reminiscence bump. This is the time that one remembers events that happened during his/her teenage years and early adult stage. This time of life is rich in emotional moments because of graduations, weddings, and childbirth, so those memories are easy to recall. All these tales are part of people's self-concept and help shape their attitudes and beliefs, as well as their aims and objectives in life so, they are of enduring nature.

Daydreaming is one thing, Reminiscing is another. I think reminiscing on the good and positive things that occurred in your total life experience is, and can be very rewarding in your senior years, and on your death bed.
