Can you confirm, is using a gym on a non-fuelled body beneficial in losing weight?

Indeed, fasting prior to exercise can help burn fat more effectively. Some studies show that it is advisable to fast before exercising for a moderate intensity during a period of 90 minutes as you will continue burning fat more effectively from the 90-minute mark and beyond if you had fasted prior to the exercise rather than eaten from between 1 and 3 hours before the exercise. In case of high-intensity trainings fasted individuals will also notice a faster switch to a greater fat utilization at a much earlier time point. This is due to low levels of insulin which are fasting induced meaning that the body can more easily transition into fat burning mode using body fat stores as energy.

I am sorry but "burning more" fat doesn't mean anything. 3-7%? 10-20%? 50!?! When you don't eat during exercise, you get really hungry afterwards and your body tends to convert available energy into "more fat" as an adaptation. Plus, athletic performance and adaptations suffer from fasted training...Average Joe, use a pinch of salt.

This is dangerous. Don't do long bouts of exercise in a fasted state...

Don't do intermittent fasting and exercise, you will burn muscle and will be more prone to injury.
