I’ve lately been considering the nuances of porters and stouts. Is there anybody who can describe how they differ in taste and other attributes?

Although porter and stout are characterized as dark, rich and full-bodied beers, the two have quite a number of differences. Porters use malted barley in its brewing and are distinguished by the presence of chocolate, caramel, and roasted flavors, with a degree of sweetness. As for stouts, they tend to be heavy and thick due to the addition of roasted barley which introduces strong roasted bitterness. Stouts can also have beer with a coffee and dark chocolate flavor. These exact differences will depend on individual beer and the brewery producing it, so, specializing in tasting porters and stouts, will be able to discern the delicate differences between the two.

Stout is a more robust Porter. Technically it is "Stout Porter".

the content should be called "Two dudes who went for a ride and tasted beers and talked a lot about it "
