To capture ProRAW shots and have a JPEG XL codec for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, access the Settings menu, then tap Camera followed by Formats to turn on ProRAW. Next, choose ProRAW options and select JPEG XL Lossy for lower-quality images which will also result in smaller file size. Let's not forget that DNG will be the default file format for ProRAW pictures.
