I use a Boox Nova 3 Color for reading books, comics, and manga. The ability to just download kindle, hoopla, and libby, as well as reading PDF's and Epubs is great. It's an Android tablet, so you can just read from a web browser if you want to. The color models have an overlay that darken the screen in order to display color, so I keep the backlight on most of the time, but battery life is okay. The Remarkable seems to do color way better than the Boox though. I kind of regret buying a color model. I had hoped to read manwa and webtoons, but failed to take into account how annoying the constant vertical scrolling would be on a slow e-ink screen. Comics alone are not worth the extra price and a dimmer screen on an e-reader. I would stick to a greyscale model for the time being. I don't really draw or write on my Boox tablet, but the pen has something I have never used anywhere else.... You can flip it over and use the eraser end.... as an eraser. That alone is worth many points in it's favor.
