I would like to phrase this in a more accurate way - ‘For those who have used the Remarkable Paper Pro, how is the drawing pen texture? And, how is the screen felt for comfort when drawing?’

With regards to drawing as well, the pen and screen texture of the Remarkable Paper Pro is conveniently used by the majority audiences. The pen is rather pleasant to hold and is of good weight. The users complain as well as appreciate the screen texture that has been improved for 15% reduction of gloss; many users prefer a rough grip combined with paper touch. While USI pens are more wobbly in construction, the textured screen helps reduce this. As a result, the overall drawing experience, while using the pencil tool, is quite pleasant.

Just a note that may be of interest to you: I have a Boox Tab Ultra, and I bought a Paperlike screen protector for an iPad Pro, then modified it for the size of my Boox Tab, and I get that exact "scratchy" feel for drawing and writing. Like you said: since fidelity isn't the number one priority for an eInk tablet, adding the Paperlike film doesn't really downgrade the visuals, but MASSIVELY upgrades the tactility. You might give it a shot with your Boox Air C.

I don't think they're targeting artists with these, though. These are advertised heavily to students and white-collar workers, so drawing and inking capabilities aren't priorities for their market. I teach both social studies and art. I recommend the reMarkable in my academic classes and other devices to my art students.

What would be the cheapest and biggest bang for your buck if you are just starting out??? What would be a good one???
