As a result of the new M4 chip which has 2 Thunderbolt controllers compared to the M1, a third Thunderbolt port in this new MacBook Pro will likely be added. It can support two external displays along with the main display and while there are no big design changes, it will be offered in space black. The performance is considered the selling point with RAM 16GB base, single-core performance 23% faster, multi-core performance 27% and graphics performance 17.4% faster than the M1 model. It is expected that the neural engine will be operating 57% faster than in the M3 which makes this a big step forward from the original M1 MacBook Pro.
