Can anyone explain why it's not recommended to walk barefoot on an airplane?

Walking barefoot on a plane is not recommended because the airplane floor is extremely filthy. Previous passengers might have walked the aisles with contagious foot problems, leaving behind dirt and germs. Additionally, the floor in the lavatories can be particularly unclean. It's better to wear socks or bring a pair of light slippers for comfort without exposing your feet to the dirty surfaces.

The sentence for the lavatory bathroom sounds familiar lol but it's true to wear your socks or shoes during the flight❤

I'm tired of discrimination against bare feet. Dirt is not a big deal for most of the people most of the time; we are exquisitely physiologically protected from 30,000+ pathogens, and some of us have medical issues like dysautonomia that makes any excess heat (feet or elsewhere) unbearable. (Same neurological issue makes me not sweat.)
