Certainly yes, it is advisable to go for the M4 Mac Mini upgrade. It comes with a starting 16GB of RAM which is good for users who multitask. It is offered at 599 dollars which literally is the same as the older version which had lesser RAM. The M4 Mac Mini also has Thunderbolt 5 ports which are available on the Pro version and are much faster than Thunderbolt 4. Because of the redesign, it is highly portable and light weight as well as the performance of the M4 chip is much faster than M2 chip. Moreover, M4 Pro chip is even better, and now the Mac Mini offers 5 usb-c ports and has a 24 gb ram on the Pro, and improved neural engine. Four displays are supported on all models, including the base model model, and the M4 Pro Mac Mini can be specified with 64 GB of RAM.

Give me a break, it’s about time Apple stopped gouging loyal customers with lackluster upgrades that cost way more than they’re worth. This mini is an example of what Apple needs to continue to do for their loyal customers

My fave Apple update in a long time. Great design and value. Hoping real world usage confirms performance and new design is still as silent as before. The footprint reduction really displays how efficient Apple SOC is even in desktop format.

I’m still using the M1 Mac mini 16GB RAM 1TB. Super happy.

The new Mac mini M4 looks almost perfect. The one drawback for me is the lack of USB a ports for a mouse.

This is awesome! Just 600 bucks starting AND it’s the unbinned m4 too!

I speculated on the possibility of Thunderbolt 5 of M4 Pro or Max models having 80 Gbps Thunderbolt 5 connectivity two weeks ago and was shot down in flames. Oh, look: the Mac mini M4 Pro has three 120Gbps Thunderbolt 5 ports.
That said, I have chosen an M4 with 24GB memory, 1TB storage and 10 Gigabit Ethernet to replace my M1 Mac mini which has 16GB memory and 512GB storage.

I was at the Apple Store two days ago, about to pull the trigger on a Mac Studio.  Last second, chickened out.  GOD DAMN WHAT TIMING.

I am a windows user and AMD/Intel fan. Let me tell you, this is literally an Earth shattering event in computing. The base M4 Mac Mini at $599 has the same performance as a $1199 windows computer equiped with the powerful and expensive Intel i7 chip. Completely insane what Apple did, and yes as a windows user of 20 years I will finally move to Apple for the first time in my live. I hope Apple will keep the price as it is and not raise it once they realize they are completely crushing the competition.
