There are two specific M4 Mac Mini models that need to be addressed. The base model which costs $600 is good but it is recommended that one goes for the model which costs $800 and has a storage capacity of 512GB because its value for money. In the case of the M4 Pro Model, the recommended amount is $1800 with 14 core CPU, 24GB RAM and 1 TB SSD because it provides its fair share of performance along with the fact that it is not going to be obsolete quickly. It has a good amount of power and storage for the price.

16 GB of Ram is awesome but 256GB SSD is completely trash.

$200 upcharge for an additional 256GB is a criminal behavior.

base or pro only, spending 33% more for 256gb more is crazy

I really like the M4 pro version with cpu upgrade, 512gb storage and 24gb unified memory, it’s a beast for years

The M4 Pro version with 64GB of RAM is potentially a very affordable platform for people who want to play around with the various opensource LLM's out there, since the unified memory architecture means you can load some decent sized models and get full performance.

Can someone make a content on how to setup music production, editing, and live streaming on one of these?

Like which model to get and how to set it up

The Mac mini M4 Pro with adequate memory and storage is too expensive, considering you don't get a monitor, keyboard or mouse. Over $2K for an unbinned M4 Pro with 2TB storage (need this amount if you're going to actually use this mini for real jobs with real fast R/W time. I like the addition of TB5 but who has these peripherals? For those doing production work and someone else buying it for you, I feel it's a very good option for these users. $2699 for 14/20/16, 48GB memory (64GB for extra $200 of course), 2TB storage and 10Gb ethernet (will be interesting to see speedtests using NAS over 10GB compared to RAID SSD storage over TB5). note: OWC/MacSales has TB5 cables and two TB5 single SSD drives (2TB for $400, 4TB for $600, latter is same cost as adding 2TB extra on top of the 2TB I spec'd). Of course when I look at these crazy prices for the Pro version and the fact my fully blown 2019 iMac only is worth <$400 on a trade-in to Apple, I'll keep my iMac.
