How do I create a new YouTube channel as a complete beginner?

Would there be any kind soul willing to step forward and help me with the creation of a YouTube channel please? This is my first attempt and I need someone who can lead me.

Open a web browser and navigate to the URL www.youtube.com, and look for the sign-in button in the upper right section. However, since Youtube is a product of Google, creating a Google account is necessary. You can either use your existing email address or opt to open a new Gmail account if you foot the bill for a YouTube channel. After providing an email & password, it is possible that you are required to confirm your identity via phone. After doing this, you can go ahead and create a YouTube Channel, sign in, create a youtube ‘channel name & handle’ choose an avatar and begin to edit the channel.
