High intensity and low volume strength and conditioning exercises are post run workouts that includes kettlebell swings, chin up, and push-ups. It is also crucial to still emphasize the quality and through each movement if the aim is joint integrity, assistance and stability rather than hypertrophy. For instance, one may perform deficit push ups with kettlebells in order to experience the benefit of a powerful stretch while using the muscle to push without excessive hypertrophy being the goal.
