Has anyone tried comparing the typing feel on the Logitech MX Keys — particularly the lovely chirpy codes — with the dulcet tones of the Apple Magic Keyboard?

Logitech MX Keys has certain depressions on which the fingers are placed and a textured finish which enables movement around the keys. In contrast, the Apple Magic Keyboard has flatter keys with less a travel distance claiming that it enhances the typing experience. In addition, it should be noted that both boards do not have the height adjustment feature. A deeper press on the key is felt more with MX Keys, however both keyboards are very functional and everyone will choose to their liking a single one among the two, which of them to use.

I've been using the MX Keys for almost a year now on my MAC but picked up the new Magic Keyboard to go with my Mac Studio for one reason... Touch ID. It's growing on me. I currently enjoy typing on the MX keys a little better, not as much as the G915 TKL, but coming from 30 plus years of IBM clicky / Cheery MX Blue switches these newer keyboard have taken time to get use to. The speed on the Apple Keyboard is usually a tad better but not by much. If only I could get Touch ID on the Logi I would definitely stick to that and may go back... still up in the air for now.

On another note I mentioned the Logi G915 TKL (there is a fullsize as well). If you have never tried that keyboard, I have the clicky version, it's amazing. I use it on my gaming PC replacing a keyboard with Cherry MX Blues. It's wireless and using it daily for gaming it often lasts about 10 days along with the G903 wireless mouse. If you get a chance check out one of the G915 models, they are the perfect compromise IMHO.

I've been using MX Keys mini for... about a year now and disappointing is that the Command key has worn away a little of the "paint". I guess I strike the button with the corner of my nail. Apart from that its really good. I do prefer the deeper travel of the MX Keys. I personally only like mechanical keyboards for gaming. I feel I can type better on the Apple keyboard

Thanks for the clear, objective review. Logitech MX Keys is hands down the better keyboard.

I have the MX Mechanical and Magic Keyboard, I much prefers the MX due to the keys are mechanical and "higher" up than the Magic Keyboard. Coming from regular "Windows" keyboards, it feels weird with the bigger spacing between the keys on Apple's keyboard. It works on their Laptops though but on desktop it's weird for me.

I used both at the shop and picked up Apple Magic keyboard. Somehow the experience of typing is not that satisfying and productive than compared to Apple keyboard.

Been using an MX keys for a year and recently tried the Magic Keyboard at the office for a couple of weeks. To me there is just no comparison, the MX keys wins hands down in every way, in fact I don't understand how Apple can justify charging so much for such a mediocre keyboard.

I like the looks of the Apple keyboard, but I hate Apple products, and it's much louder than the Logitech keyboard.

I got both. I can confirm that MX Keys is worst of the two. The keys are ridiculously hard. Not sure why no one talks about it. You cannot type continuously for mins using mx keys as it might give you pain in the fingers. Magic keyboard is much better (although not ideal). You gotta try varmilo sakura switches or EC Daisy switches from Varmilo. They are soooo much smoother and better than these so called low profile keyboards.
