Can you use the Apple Magic Keyboard on a couch or chair comfortably?

Most of the time, when I am using my iPad, I do so while sitting on a chair or on the couch. What are your thoughts about the Apple Magic Keyboard’s usage in such situations?

I had a MS surface for years and can’t understand how everybody prefers the magic keyboard for couch usage.
