Is it easy to switch devices using the Apple Magic Keyboard?

How seamless is it to transition from devices such as a MacBook to an iPad with the help of the Apple Magic Keyboard?

Changing devices with the Apple Magic Keyboard is a little tedious since you have to always connect back over Bluetooth whenever you want to change the device. But the Logitech MX Keys makes it easier since you only have to pair it on one of the three shortcut buttons found on the keyboard for a one-time pairing which make things much faster and less tedious.

I believe that there's no need to disconnect the Apple Magic keyboard from your Mac to connect to your iPad incase you want to since they are connected anyway... Universal Control as Apple called it.

Why would you need to reconnect your Magic Keyboard for your iPad when you can just use Universal Control?
