In particular, the key travel and texture differ since the tactile response for the regular Logitech MX Keys Mini is better due to the keys having a slight divot which allows for greater key travel. Apple users would feel right at home since the Apple Magic Keyboard mimics the built-in keyboards on MacBook Pros. While the Magic Keyboard only uses Lightning for charging and pairing, the MX Keys Mini utilizes a USB-C which is a more modern option. It is worth mentioning that the MX Keys Mini is equipped with device pairing buttons which allow for fast switching between devices unlike the Magic Keyboard which requires a wire. Lastly, MX Keys Mini has customizable function keys plus a backlight but the Magic Keyboard has Touch ID for secure access and Apple-related functions.

I have the mx keys mini, and I want to emphasize to anyone reading this, that being able to reprogram the buttons on top is insanely useful. When I was interning as a CS student last summer, I programmed the keys to execute different terminal commands, it was insanely useful!

I am here because I have just purchased my new Magic Keyboard and I must say, well worth my money because I absolutely love pairing it to my iPAD Air 2022

One problem I found with the mx keys mini is that I can't remap the fn key because it doesn't get recognized on macos

How is the keyboard layout? Is the spacing between keys any different? I do have M1 Air, but MX keys mini also seems nice.

How do you get around losing out on Touch ID for easy login?

If you don’t have Touch ID, you can still use stored passwords…it doesn’t mean you have to manually type passwords, right? Am I missing something?
