Can the Logitech MX Keys Mini's screen brightness be changed precisely through the device itself?

By default, the Logitech MX Keys Mini doesn't allow you to vary the screen brightness. Nevertheless, the Logi Options Plus app can be used to remap the function keys to different shortcut keys such as changing the brightness of the screen or load them per application.

On my iPad pro the logitech keyboard often loses its pairing and repairing it frequently makes using this infuriating
