There is a clear statement regarding the confusion over compatibility. It is first written on Apple’s web page that only Apple silicon Macs are supported, but in subsequent paragraphs, the supported models include model Macs which date way back to 2015 and other Intel Macs. It seems likely enough that Intel Macs are the ones which are aimed, but this mismatch has fomented a certain confusion about the matter.

The reason it says its not supported on Intel Macs is because of Touch ID. The Touch ID functionality of the keyboard only works with Apple silicon, but it can still be used as a normal Bluetooth keyboard only any other device

Is there any way you could check to see if it is actually compatible with an intel machine? I have a 2019 intel based Mac that I might be interested if the finger id button works with it too. Thanks.
