How can I improve my focus and attention for studying?

Would anyone be kind enough to share some pointers about ways on improving their concentration levels and attention span so as to study effectively?

In order to enhance the concentration and the attention needed for studying, one’s sleep, stress, hydration, and caffeine intake should be managed. Stress management can take the form of mindfulness meditation or focus exercises that exercise control over the nervous system. All of these exercises require spending some time every day at concentration on a certain point, e.g. a breath or a spot – and bringing yourself there over and over again.

By improving your focus through exercise, meditation and a good sleep routine, you generate an internal coherence that helps you absorb information effectively. Then testing yourself on that information strengthens the neural circuits and offsets the forgetting curve.
