Emotions are an integral part of the learning process as well as the memory function. Events experiencing any sort of emotions, good or bad, are remembered better and for longer, because of the presence of neuromodulators like epinephrine and norepinephrine. These chemicals help in the signaling of events to the brain which helps in increasing the neuroplastic alterations necessary for memory formation. Therefore, intense emotions associated with the material or even moderate levels of intensity during the experience should lead to better learning results.
