How thin will the iPhone 17 Air be?

Kindly tell me if I’m wrong, but I believe that the iPhone 17 Air is going to be among the thinnest smartphones on the market. This can be inferred from the available images showing its dimensions of 6.1 mm and 7.15 mm, with the latest predictions claiming that its thickness will not exceed 5 mm. Despite realism proving its fanciful.

Based on available information, early versions of the iPhone 17 Air appear to be between 5 to 6 mm in thickness which would be a considerable reduction from current models. Assuming the iPhone 16 Pro Max thickness is 8.25 mm, this would imply a thickness of between 5 to 6 mm which is a staggering reduction that would be roughly 40 percent.

The problem with a thin phone is that once you put a case on it you've lost the novelty

Because the world really wants a thinner iPhone instead of same thickness with better battery life.

BLU Vivo 5 from 2014 was 5.9mm thick. So 11 years later thinner is possible.

Do we really need a thinner phone? Feels like the form factor is good. Now if they use that thinness to make a foldable that would be great.

Will this thinnest iPhone ever bend?

The issue with a thin phone is people will complain about the thickness of a phone but put something like this in their back pocket and complain it snaps in half.

I want the air to be thin AND SMALLER not big like the plus. It would be nice if it was available in the regular size or even better bring back the mini size
