Discus fish adapt quite well and are considered striking specimens having adapted to life in aquariums. They do require an experienced aquarist to take care of them, but strong water conditions are a must for them. And because of their considerable size, their waste tends to clutter the aquarium as well which requires regular maintenance. Overall they are worth the effort of keeping them due to their vibrant colors and personality.
