Thanks to their unique physiology and biological structures, kangaroos are able to survive in extreme conditions. Adverse climatic conditions are not a challenge for kangaroos, as they are able to go without drinking water for an extended period of time, since they are able to extract moisture from the plants they consume. To avoid the harsh midday sun, these animals rest and stay hidden under the shade of the trees or bushes, saving energy for later. Such physiological structures allow them to inhabit and thrive in a variety of environments, ranging from deserts to grasslands.
