Considering the eye-watering price of the SRAM RED groupset, is it within reach of average riders?

The SRAM RED groupset is made and advertised towards two groups of cyclists; The primary group comprises cyclists willing to buy expensive, top-end bicycles with the intent of bilking them out of their hard-with purchases, secondary group includes every possible racer who is at the uppermost level where not only the utility but the looks of the groupset count as well with regards to the race. However, while the groupset may not be for the general average biker, the technology behind SRAM RED groupset will eventually trickle down to cheaper bikes aimed at mass markets.

Nice overview! I can afford it, but I don't see the value in it for me.
