It is common knowledge that alcohol is the most widely utilized psychoactive substance in the world, but it has also been claimed that men and women do react differently to this drug. I have come across arguments claiming that alcohol is a drug as well as a stimulant to the human body and many of its hormones, making its therapeutic values even more relevant. Not much on what becomes of the ‘others’ who possess such tolerance is ventured. Would you mind helping me understand this?

Studies have also shown that there is a noticeable difference in the effects of alcohol on women compared to men. However, alcohol can still be slowly administered to both men and women with a level of ease relative to its concentration within the solution. If we assume that in general, females possess a lower quantity of water than males then its possible cause as to why they are affected by alcohol more quickly than males. The vascular system delivers alcohol faster for women as there’s a liver dehydrogenase deficiency due to which the blood Central Nervous System delivers as a uniform fluid to the body which brings the result faster. These characteristics explain and elaborate further why the alcohol units prescribed for women are lesser than what is prescribed for men.
