Several tools are required for a CPU upgrade on a Mac Pro. These include, but are not limited to, a set of precision screw drivers (Torx bits T8 and T10 are the necessary components), antistatic wrist strap, alcohol wipes for cleaning off old thermal paste, new thermal paste for the CPU and GPUs, as well as a silicon mat or a container to arrange the screws. To add more, it would be helpful to use a spudger tool in order to disconnect the connectors without damage.
