Happiness is not dictated by the environment. While the environment can occasionally create the conditions for joy or happiness, the ultimate source of ‘happiness’ must be internal. All of the human experiences including happiness and even the negative ones like suffering, pleasure and ecstasy are all created internally. Connecting our happiness to external parameters creates a huge number of prerequisites and can create an endless chase which often results in a lack of satisfaction.

This is a powerful reminder that true happiness comes from within, not from external achievements.
