To enable RCS messaging on iOS 18 allowing richer communication between iPhone and Android users, select ‘Settings’ > ‘Apps’ > ‘Messages’ > ‘RCS Messaging’ and switch it on. This feature should be working automatically if it is supported on both ends and switched on providing enhanced E2E encryption, sharing of high-resolution content, delivery reports, etc.

8:02 apple is not supporting end to end encryption yet for RCS messaging as they are only implementing the minimum requirements for the standard.

Just to note, rcs on iOS does not support end to end encryption.

I don't have the RCS option at all on my iOS 18 RC release?

Fact check regarding RCS: you said "while still enjoying end-to-end encryption". Apple's implementation follows the RCS spec which does NOT include Google's proprietary encryption. RCS is NOT encrypted on iPhone.

I came for what's new in iOS18 and just upgraded to 18. But I did not find any RCS mentioned in the message settings. Still, receiving as text to and fro android.

RCS: your carrier needs to support it, so if you're scratching your head wondering why the RCS option isn't showing in messages, this is probably why. Not on 'Three' yet.

The only update that matters is RCS. Can’t believe Tim Cook gave us a trash messaging experience for so long.

So do they let you schedule a massage to android because last time I checked it was only iPhone to iPhone
