In order to enhance sleep quality, it may be a good idea to make sleep a necessity and have defined sleep and wake up times. Lower your brain stimulation by nerves from emails, social networks and even horror movies some forty five minutes to an hour before going to bed. Heavy meals should not be included in the hours leading up to sleep, while caffeine and alcohol should be limited also. Get sunlight first thing in the morning and limit light in the evening so that your timing of light exposure/schedules is perfect for sleeping. The ideal environment for sleep should, however be cool and dark. If necessary, try natural sleep supplements such as magnesium L-threonate or glycine but if the latter is employed consider using a sleep tracker to observe the effects of this practice for the sleeping aids.
