The H2 chip found in the next-generation AirPod 4 is responsible for sustaining tolerable battery life along with better noise cancellation features. This chip is also responsible for actively controlling the dual microphones integrated into the device which helps in dictating voice recognition as well. The H1 was able to handle such operations but the H2 makes it sustainable, supporting the idea that wearing these engineering wonderful wireless earbuds is hassle free.

In AirPods 4's case, the H2 chip is in charge of all the heavy lifting and, in particular, processing done by the microphones. It particularly enhances call background noise suppression, Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode improvements, and Adaptive Audio support. It even enhances such actions as tilting or shaking one’s head to respond to Siri’s inquiries. The H2 chip however remains the most important element in the Matrix for new AirPods 4 features and their enhancement.

Do they still sound like 2006 YouTube audio quality to people on the other end?
