Is the riding position on a gravel bike different in some considerable aspect compared to that of a road bike, and how does it impact performance?

Compared to road bikes which have a lower and more aggressive riding position, gravel bikes usually offer a more upright and relaxed position in the saddle. Riding position does have a noticeable effect, especially for speed freaks, but performance variability is less in gravel bike frames which are more comfortable and suitable for a greater range of riders. In fact all terrain gravel riding is very likely to be the best option as it combines the elements of both road and mountain riding.
