What is the new camera control button on the iPhone 16?

It can be employed to immediately launch the camera, adjust exposure, alter portrait mode’s depth, choose focal lengths, and stylistic and tonal alterations of pictures. It is haptic controlled, it is compatible with Apple casings, but when aiming at the action shots or critical timing is involved, it could be challenging at first to operate.

The camera button is a nice addition, but the fine motor control required and pauses just make it impractical in many scenarios. I really don't understand why the pop under menus on half press is so small. The user ASKED for the controls, take more space, make it easier to manipulate. Software updates should help for sure.

Oh, I’m so glad you reviewed this iPhone 16 Pro with the clear case on it. That’s what I’ve been wanting to know, Is how that camera button responds through the case.  And it looks like it works flawlessly.
I have the iPhone 16 Pro Max coming and now, I have the Apple clear case arriving same day.

It’s been a year and I just noticed since taking off my case on the 15 Pro that there is a spot on it where it’s supposed to be an “antenna band” where the camera control is on the 16. Odd they’re basically in the same place so I imagine it was supposed to be a thing last year

We have reached the practical limits of camera phones.  When a button becomes the biggest selling point, you know Apple is reaching.
